EMB Caraga gathered donor partners in the region for Adopt-an-Estero/Water Body Program (AEWBP) Summit at Amontay Beach Resort, Amontay, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte on September 9-10, 2021.

Representatives from LGUs, manufacturing and mining companies were present to showcase and learn respectively the best practices that other establishments/companies had undertaken to improve the quality of the adopted water body, like creeks, esteros, streams, and rivers.

The AEWBP Summit, which was a mix of virtual and physical gathering, served as a continuous learning activity of adopters and potential adopters of a water body in the region.

AEWBP established in 2010, a flagship program of the DENR, is a collaborative undertaking between and among the department, estero community, donor-partners, and other government agencies to address the water pollution problem in the country. ###
